The stainless steel cylinder and probe end make it capable of withstanding harsh situations and conditions. The tip is also both exchangeable and waterproof, and available in two standard alternative materials - PEEK or Hastelloy® C276 (other materials possible - please contact us for details).

The light enters from the light source through six bundled fibres to the probe end, where it lights the material to be analysed through a silica window angled at 45 degrees. This angle prevents any light from being reflected from the window in to the detection fibre. The light is then selectively reflected through the seventh fibre in the probe, which leads to the spectrometer.
