AvaSpec-ULS2048CL-EVO

USB3 & Ethernet CMOS Fibre Optic Spectrometer

USB UV/VIS spectrometer

Another new member in our new EVO series is the AvaSpec-ULS2048CL-EVO.

Using CMOS detector technology instead of the conventional CCD's, this spectrometer offers you the very latest technology, to be ready for the next decade.

The dominance of  CCD detectors in the miniature spectrometer field is beginning to fade and new technologies such as CMOS have evolved and become suitable alternatives. The AvaSpec-ULS2048CL-EVO offers you this latest technology ensuring a spectrometer platform ready for the years ahead.

The EVO extension denotes a a spectrometer using a brand new electronics board, the AS7010. This means that in addition to having all the advantages of the current AvaSpec-ULS2048CL-USB2, it also has USB3.0 communication as well, which means 10x higher speed in comparison. Absolutely unique is the second communication port which offers Gigabit Ethernet for integration in your company network and the possibility for long distance communication, all at an affordable price.

Besides the high speed communication options, the EVO also offers a fast microprocessor and 50x more memory which can help you to store more spectra onboard and realise greater functionality.

Options include deep UV detector coating for enhanced performance in the deep UV-range, a detector collection lens to enhance sensitivity in the 200-1100nm range, and order sorting filters to reduce 2nd order effects. In addition, the AvaSpec-ULS2048CL-EVO is available with a wide range of slit sizes, gratings and fibre optic entrance connectors to perfectly tailor it to your application.

The AvaSpec-ULS2048CL-EVO is also available as OEM unit, Bench only or Rackmount version.

Technical data
Grating selection chart

* depends on the starting wavelength of the grating; the higher the wavelength, the bigger the dispersion and the smaller the range to select.

Resolution vs Slit Width chart

* = depends on the starting wavelength of the grating; the higher the wavelength, the bigger the dispersion and the better the resolution
