Fibre Optic Homogeniser
When connecting a multifurcated fibres to a spectrometer or light source, light entering/exiting each of the fibre legs may or may not be uniform, so a fibre optic homogeniser can be used to mix the signals to provide a more uniform signal.

The compact MMA-UV/VIS-SMA fibre optic homogeniser is made of anodised aluminum and has female SMA905 connectors on both ends. Internally, a highly transmissive Suprasil Rod with a diameter of 1 or 3mm transmits the light from one end to the other (from bundle to single fibre) and perfectly mixes the modes.

The fiber optic homogeniser can also be used as a mode stripper.
